The house spirit

The Bastide is a 17th century silk worm farm standing in a 2ha estate of terraces previously used for agriculture.
We take the greatest care with this heritage and its exceptional natural environment.

We have signed the "European charter for durable tourism in protected spaces" with the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park and are allowed to use the coveted "Accueil du Parc" label.

Our commitment to eco-tourism can be seen in :

• An organic garden for the produce served at our table d'hôte,
• Sourcing from local producers,
• Waste recycling and composting,
• Irrigation using spring water,
• Hot water produced by solar panels,
• Heating by wood pellet furnace,
• Plant-based effluent treatment system...
